Swadhin Swaraj Acharya was born in 1998 in Anandapur, Odisha, India. After receiving his B. Sc. degree from Anandapur College, North Orissa University (now Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanjadeo University, Baripada) in the year 2017, received a UGC-URH (University Rank Holder) scholarship to pursue M. Sc. Then, he moved to Berhampur University, Odisha and obtained his M. Sc degree in chemistry in 2019. He then joined as a PhD scholar (CSIR-JRF) in the same university and currently works in the research group of Dr. Parida. His research interest revolves around the synthesis of heterocycles and functionalized molecules by green and sustainable multicomponent reactions and heterocyclic directed transition metal-catalyzed C-H functionalization, green and sustainable synthesis. He has mentored several M.Sc dissertation projects and junior Ph.D scholars. He is actively involved in synthesizing several heterocycles including imidazopyridines, pyrroles, quinolines, coumarins, pyran, thiazole, pyrimidine, perimidine, indole etc.
