The Crew: Captain Dick and First Mate Jackie have been boating for 20+ years and sailing for 15. Originally from the North East USA, they now live in North Carolina. They are looking forward to writing books, reading books, awesome island experiences, lots of snorkeling, some fishing, and just generally living well.
The Boat: The s/v WAY OUT is a Hanse 455 sailboat. She was built in Greifswald, Germany, completed in late October 2016, and was then loaded onto the cargo ship, the Sampogracht, to cross the ocean. She landed in Baltimore, MD on Tuesday evening, 11/22/16. She was offloaded on Wednesday, October 23rd at 3 p.m. and the Crusader Yachts team then commissioned her engine and motored her to the Port Annapolis Marina.
The s/v WAY OUT is a 3-2 configuration, consisting of three cabins, two heads, a salon, and galley.
