Marcie Peaco Memorial Scholarship

What is the Marcie Peaco Memorial Scholarship?

Each year, the Seneca Valley Track & Field Boosters Club has the honor of awarding senior athletes of the Track & Field team a scholarship to help continue their education beyond high school.  The Marcie Peaco Memorial Scholarship was started in April 2021, after her unfortunate passing from AL Amyloidosis.  Marcie was an avid volunteer, who assisted her husband Ray Peaco with Athletic events and worked closely with the Seneca Valley Track and Field Team. Above all, she had a heart of gold and put others before herself.  With great pride in upholding her values in life, the SV Track & Field Boosters, along with her husband Ray and his family, created the Marcie Peaco Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Those funds come from heartfelt donations to the Marcie Peaco Memorial Fund and the hard-working concessions stand at the track operated during home meets and invitationals.

The scholarships are awarded during the Marcie Peaco Memorial Invitational in mid-April, which is hosted by Seneca Valley for the 9th & 10th grade athletes in our region to showcase their abilities.  This page is dedicated to keeping Marcie's purpose, values, and memory alive forever and to remember our recent and past scholarship recipients.

A special GoFundMe effort is created each Spring Track & Field season to attract donations towards the Marcie Peaco Memorial Fund. Scholarship funding is used from those receipts and the balance is donated to the Amyloidosis Foundation.  With the help of so many supporters, the Marcie Peaco Memorial Fund has raised over ten thousand dollars over the past several years to help the fight against Amyloidosis.

We'll update this section with those GoFundMe details once that annual initiative is resumed, however donations can always be made directly to the Amyloidosis Foundation HERE or a donation can be made to our SV Track & Field Boosters Club and we'll allocate it for next season's scholarship fund and Foundation collection.

You may reach out to any of our Boosters officers from our contact page to discuss your desires or email us at SVTrackandFieldBoosters@gmail.com.

Thank you for your interest and generosity!
