My area of research is topology. My work is mostly centered on low dimensional manifolds, somewhere between dimensions 3 and 4, and often stems from trying to understand the role of their fundamental group in their topological and geometric properties. I tend to be driven by questions, more than by techniques. (This is an elegant way to say that I feel utterly underqualified in a broad range of subjects I write papers about.)
