Effective Date: January 29, 2026
Welcome to our App Lock application (hereinafter referred to as "the App"). This Privacy Policy is issued by Dorkari App Team to transparently explain how we handle your data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensure that all permission requests strictly follow the "minimum necessity principle" solely for the implementation of core security features.
1. Core Permissions and Purposes
To ensure the real-time protection and security of your applications, the App requires the following permissions:
Storage and File Management:
All Files Access (Android 11+) / Storage Permission (Android 6-10): Used exclusively for the "File Vault" feature, allowing you to encrypt and hide private photos or videos. We do not automatically access, backup, or process your private files in the background.
App Detection and System Operation:
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES: This is a core permission for the App Lock functionality. We need to scan the list of installed applications on your device so you can select and lock target apps.
Auto-start: Ensures that after a device reboot, the protection service resumes immediately to prevent security gaps.
Usage Access: Used to identify the opening of foreground applications in real-time to trigger the lock screen.
Overlay Permission (Display over other apps): Ensures the lock interface can accurately appear on top of protected applications to provide immediate defense.
Intrusion Protection and Alerts:
Camera Permission: Used solely for the "Intruder Selfie" feature. It captures a photo of an intruder silently upon multiple failed unlock attempts. Photos are stored locally only.
Gmail Sending Permission: Used exclusively to send security alert emails to your preset address. Data transmission strictly complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
2. Sensitive Data Handling Strategy
Biometric Information: If you choose to use fingerprint or face unlock, the verification process is executed entirely by the Android system. We do not touch, collect, or store any of your raw biometric data.
Data Localization: Intruder photos and your unlock passwords are stored on your device locally. We do not establish cloud databases, thereby eliminating data leak risks at the technical source.
3. Advertising and Third-Party Services
To provide professional, high-performance, and free security services, we utilize an ad-supported model.
Reason for Ads: Maintaining a high-security App Lock product requires continuous technical investment. Showing ads allows us to provide advanced security features without charging subscription fees.
Data Usage: Our partners may collect your device identifiers (e.g., GAID), IP address, and app interaction records for personalized advertising, anti-fraud attribution, and performance improvement.
Data Isolation: We strictly prohibit any Advertising SDK from accessing privacy information obtained through core permissions (such as camera, files, or app lists). Advertisers cannot see which apps you have locked or access your private photos.
Third-Party Policy Links: We encourage you to review the detailed privacy practices of our partners:

5. California Resident Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
