  • Transcripts, Applications, Letters of Recommendation
    • Any request for a transcript must be made throught Parchment.com. Make sure that proper addresses/contact persons are included on the request form.
    • Please do not run close on deadlines. Requests for transcripts will be processed in a timely fashion, but may not get immediate attention.
    • Requests for letters of recommendation should be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the deadline. Students should supply a completed resume with a request for a letter of recommendation.

  • ACT/SAT Information: Sipsey Valley High School Code is 010549 Fee waivers are available to students who receive free or reduced lunch and students are able to receive up to two waivers throughout high school. Qualified students should see Mrs. Shanklin. ACT requires students to upload a picture when registering for the test. This photo will print on your admission ticket. Students will also be required to bring a government or school issued photo ID on their test day. Notify Mrs. Woodroof at least one week in advance if you need a school issued photo ID.

  • College Counts Scholarship - funding assistance to Alabama high school students who demonstrate a financial need and a genuine desire to make a difference in what’s next. Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible for this scholarship:
    • Be a high school senior or first-time college freshman beginning in fall 2019
    • Be a U.S. citizen
    • Be an Alabama resident
    • Planning to enroll in an Alabama eligible educational institution in fall 2019
    • Demonstrate financial need
    • Have a minimum GPA of 2.75
    • Have an ACT score of 26 or below
    • (applicants attending a two-year school will not be required to submit ACT scores)

  • Both the Saban First in Family Scholarship and the Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship provide students with $5,000/year scholarship (renewable for 4 years, with GPA qualifications), as well as a multitude of professional development opportunities, academic coaching, and support programs.We are currently accepting scholarship applications from students who:
    • Are applying to The University of Alabama as freshmen for the fall or summer semester of 2019
    • Are Alabama residents
    • Will be the FIRST in their immediate family to attend college
    • Have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Dixie Youth Scholarship Program – Scholarships are presented annually to deserving high school seniors who participated in the Dixie Youth Baseball program while age 12 and under. Financial need is considered. Scholarship value is $2000. http://youth.dixie.org/
  • ROTC Scholarships - ROTC cadets committed to serving in the military after college are eligible for scholarships covering the costs for tuition, fees, and textbooks for four years, plus a monthly stipend for personal expenses. If you have additional financial need, you are free to apply for regular financial aid and non-ROTC scholarships.
