I have had the oppurtunity to work on various Youtube videos for different content creators, channels and companies over the years. From vlogs and interviews to gaming videos.
As this list of videos is ever-growing, I have a separate page for all the Youtube content I've worked on. Please click here to see the web page dedicated to all the Youtube videos I've worked on
This is a small collection of Sven's video work done at Cumulus Blue Platforms. Sven has been responsible for all the scripting, shooting, editing, animation and final renders for the below videos. Please note that these videos are for showreel purposes and do not represent Sven's opinions in any matter, these may also be low-res renders for the sake of the showreel.
LoveHumans is a partnership company with Freq'ncy Audio. LoveHumans focuses on the video and picture elements of a commercial, where Freq'ncy Audio will focus on the audio aspect.
#ProteaFire was LoveHumans' first project. 10 adverts focusing on player profiles were created, where they were broadcast on South African TV through SABC and DSTV. These spots were also uploaded online. I was tasked to do the offline edits for all the spots, and also did some of the online edits, and sorted out the deliverables for the client.
KPI College is a Cape Town based Education institute. They had a small budget, and asked us to create a Promo video of their college. We used a local voice over, our own music and sourced stock images and videos online to create a video which they loved
BrainFocus Centre is a live seminar run by David Hesketh, who teaches students at schools and universities to use their mind for better focus and success during their exams. In 2018, I was tasked to turn his live seminar into an online E-Learning course for Cumulus Blue. I was in charge of the whole production, from script-writing to editing and online motion graphics. The project spanned for half the year, and the final project resulted in an 80-strong video course. Some of the videos are blocked behind a pay-wall, but here are some of the promo videos which can be found on Youtube or Vimeo
Chard Media is a personal project I work on in my free time. From shooting and editing videos, to experimenting with certain design techniques, animations or even special effects. This is to test myself, learn new editing and video productions skills and do side-projects to keep myself occupied
This video was purely experimental. I got my hands on Red Giant's Trapcode Suite and played around with the various plug ins. Spent most of the day just playing around with the settings, but this is what I came up with. In the future, I'd love to create more of these, maybe less flashy! Was proud of this work and thought it would look great on the showreel, as its more creative to a lot of the E-Learning videos I've done in the past.
In 2016 we had a small sound design competition at Freq'ncy. We had to do sound design for a scene from Saving Private Ryan, each engineer was given a different brief. My brief was to create a cinematic sound scape using the provided music. We were then asked to remix the Stereo Mix into a 5.1 Surround Sound file for viewing.
I was fortunate enough to find an old stereo mix. This was a fun project to work on.
I came 3rd out of the 5 engineers.
I was tasked by Joseph Miller to create a 30 second advert for his Tamil News App.
I created the edit, sourcing footage and music, giving the video a grade and creating the glitch effect.

At Freq'ncy Audio, I researched and developed a way of mixing 360 Binaural Audio into 360/VR video. Using encoding plugins for Pro Tools, I could do a full audio post production mix and place the audio elements around the viewers head to give more depth to the audio. When the viewer moved their head around, the audio would track and follow their head movement, and simulate realistic HRTF audio for the viewer.
I've done final mix for various African TV shows, such as The Voice South Africa Season 1, The Voice Nigeria Season 1, Coke Studio Africa Season 1, and a few episodes of The Queen, a popular South African TV show for Mzanzi Magic.
I can't show the full episodes on my showreel, but I have provided a couple Youtube links I found online for the few TV shows I final mixed
