History

Agrion, designed by Georges Auzepy-Brenneur, was built in 1992 by Paul Vinck in his boatbuilding company  "Agrion Marine" in Brussels.  The project followed on an earlier Auzepy-Brenneur design, an Akela 50 for the 1988 OSTAR (Observer Single-handed Transatlantic Race, in which Paul Vinck finished 4th in his class). The boat was  originally named "Agrion Marine". Paul Vinck  used her for demonstration purposes and racing, and he offered her for sale in 1996. By that time, Soubise Plaisance in France had already taken over production of the Agrion 650.
