In this gentle, heartwarming story, Cocoa, a former stray dog, and her special Aki live happily together.

One morning Aki disappears. Cocoa tries hard to find her, but she is nowhere to be found.

The model of Cocoa is my dog, a miniature dachshund named Pero. She lived happily for 15 years, and died in July 2017. 

Pero was my best friend, child, and precious family. She tried hard to find me when I was in the hospital. I can’t thank her enough for what she did for me all her life.  I hope to convey a close, affectionate familial bond between dog and owner.
