The "senior project" is a right of passage for many engineering students from programs around the world. It signals the end of a students undergraduate career, and typically takes place within a year of the students expected graduation date. The purpose of a senior project is to test all of the knowledge and skills gathered through the completion of their program while developing new skills along the way. Consequently, the efforts required to produce such a product often leads to bouts of frustration and stress.
This website outlines the first ever senior project created at Shippensburg University which adequately satisfied the ABET requirements for civil and mechanical engineering programs. The deliverables presented with the completion of this project have been provided here to to assist future students with the completion of similar projects, as well as to document the project as an easily accessible medium for the future. Deliverables that were required include a comprehensive report, an operational model, a video of the system in operation, a poster presenting results, a flyer to advertise the presentation date, and a comprehensive presentation. Use the tabs above to view the project deliverables.
