A Journey Rooted in Purpose

Jonathan’s leadership story began in the Boy Scouts, where he attended Foxfire Leadership Training at just 13 years old. This experience ignited a lifelong passion for leadership. The lessons he learned during his scouting years—character, perseverance, and service—were put to the test during a 50-mile backpacking trip that challenged him both mentally and physically. These foundational experiences shaped his belief in the power of preparation, discipline, and growth.

As Jonathan transitioned into adulthood, his leadership journey expanded into new arenas. From mentoring young adults in the Honor Academy to serving as a discipleship pastor in Baltimore, he embraced opportunities to lead with integrity and purpose. Running his first marathon at the encouragement of a mentor taught him invaluable lessons in self-leadership—planning, perseverance, and breaking through mental barriers.

Professional Expertise

Jonathan’s career is marked by diverse leadership roles that span industries and disciplines:

• Vice President of Operations, Sutton Landscaping (A Family Business)
  Oversaw daily operations across multiple regions, helping to double revenue by adding new contracts and management systems. 

• Director of Information Management, Family Insight
  Spearheaded the transition to a fully virtual workforce during the pandemic, led company accreditation initiatives resulting in two 3-year certifications, and optimized organizational efficiency through innovative IT solutions.

• Regional Director, Family Insight
  Revitalized an underperforming office by fostering a culture rooted in core values, improving productivity by over 300%, and successfully transitioned the company from paper to electronic medical records.

Jonathan’s unique blend of experience in mental health, IT, business operations, and leadership development equips him with the skills to navigate complex challenges and inspire transformation.

A Glimpse Beyond Work

Outside of coaching, Jonathan finds joy in life’s simple yet meaningful pursuits. He cherishes time with his wife and children, explores the outdoors through trail running and backpacking, and continually seeks personal growth through reading, podcasts, and other forms of learning. Having completed the Iron Mountain 30-mile trail race in 2024, he’s always eager for the next challenge—both on the trail and in life.
