Susu Player is an offline music player designed for audio files that users choose to import. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

Summary

Susu Player does not require an account and does not include advertising or third-party analytics. Your music, library information, playlists, favorites, listening history, artwork, and edits remain on your device unless you choose to use iCloud Backup.

Susu Player does not sell personal information or use information for advertising or tracking.

Information Stored on Your Device

Susu Player stores the following information locally to provide its features:

• Audio files you choose to import

• Song, artist, and album information

• Playlists and favorites

• Recently played and most-played information

• Custom artwork and library edits

• Playback state and preferences

• Karaoke files created from your music

This information is not transmitted to the developer.

Imported Music and Photos

Susu Player accesses only the audio files and folders you explicitly select using Apple’s system file picker.

If you customize artwork, the app accesses only the photo you select through Apple’s system photo picker. Selected artwork is stored as part of your local library and may be included in iCloud Backup if that feature is enabled.

Susu Player does not scan your entire file or photo library.

Karaoke Processing

Karaoke vocal separation is performed on your device. Your audio files are not uploaded to the developer or to an external service for processing.

The first time you use Karaoke Mode, Susu Player asks for permission to download the required processing model from Hugging Face. This request does not include your audio files, library contents, playlists, listening history, or custom artwork.

As with any internet request, Hugging Face and its infrastructure providers may receive technical information necessary to deliver the download, such as an IP address and standard request information. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.

The downloaded model and karaoke results remain on your device and can be removed by deleting the app.

Optional iCloud Backup

iCloud Backup is optional. Susu Player can be used without enabling it.

If you enable Library Data backup, the app may store the following in your private iCloud database:

• Playlists and favorites

• Listening history and play counts

• Song, artist, and album information

• Custom artwork and library edits

• Other settings needed to restore your library

Audio files are backed up only when you separately enable Include Audio Files and start a backup.

iCloud backups are associated with the Apple Account signed in on your device, use your personal iCloud storage, and are processed by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy practices. Data in a private CloudKit database is accessible only through the user’s account by default and is not visible to the developer through the developer portal.

Widgets and CarPlay

Susu Player may share limited playback and library information with its widget extension so that a widget can display recent music and provide playback controls.

When CarPlay is used, the app provides the information required to browse and play the user’s local music collection through Apple’s CarPlay interface.

These features do not send the user’s music library to the developer.

Data Collected by the Developer

Susu Player does not directly collect or receive:

• Names or contact information

• Precise or approximate location

• Audio files or library contents

• Listening activity

• Photos or custom artwork

• Advertising identifiers

• Payment information

• Health or fitness information

The app does not contain advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs.

Apple may provide the developer with aggregated App Store information or diagnostic information according to the user’s device and Apple privacy settings. This information is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policies.

Tracking and Advertising

Susu Player does not track users across apps or websites. It does not display advertisements and does not share information with data brokers or advertising networks.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local information remains on the device until the user removes imported content, clears the applicable feature data, or deletes Susu Player.

Users can permanently delete their Susu Player iCloud backup from:

Settings → iCloud Backup → Delete iCloud Backup

Deleting an iCloud backup does not remove music or library information stored locally on the device. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data, subject to Apple’s device-backup and operating-system behavior.

Children’s Privacy

Susu Player is not specifically directed toward children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

Susu Player relies on Apple’s platform protections for app storage, system file and photo selection, and private iCloud storage. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but the app limits data handling to what is needed to provide its features.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised if Susu Player’s features or data-handling practices change. The current version will always be available at this webpage.
