Sustainable development and sustainable mindsets are particularly relevant in the context of the European Green Deal, which aims to make the European Union climate neutral by 2050. Understanding sustainability and the principles of sustainable business is essential to mitigate climate change and promote responsible economic growth. Companies that follow sustainability principles strengthen their reputation and competitiveness, are able to adapt to increasing legislative and social requirements, and create long-term value for both business and society as a whole. That is why Turība University, in cooperation with Lapland University of Applied Sciences and Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, Laurea University of Applied Sciences, Turku University in Finland and the Lithuanian Business College in Lithuania, implemented the NORDPLUS Intensive Course on Sustainable Mindset in Entrepreneurship.
Turiba University has been collaborating with various universities across Europe for several years, particularly on sustainability projects. In the summer of 2024 and 2025, five partner universities from the Baltic Sea region organized the NORDPLUS Intensive Course on Sustainable mindset in Entrepreneurship.
