AI Social Filter is a browser extension designed to help users filter and hide unwanted content on supported social media websites.
Your privacy is important. This extension is built with a privacy-first approach.
AI Social Filter does not collect, store, transmit, or sell personal data.
Specifically, the extension does not collect:
Personally identifiable information (name, email, address, etc.)
Financial information
Authentication credentials
Health information
Location data
Browsing history
User activity tracking
Personal communications
The extension analyzes visible post content directly within the user’s browser in order to apply user-defined filtering rules.
All filtering occurs locally on the user’s device.
No data is stored externally.
The extension includes optional AI-based toxicity scoring.
If the user enables this feature:
Selected post text may be sent to Hugging Face via secure HTTPS request.
No personal identifiers are transmitted.
The feature requires explicit user activation and per-site consent.
AI processing is used solely to support content filtering functionality.
This feature is disabled by default.
The extension uses Chrome’s storage API to save:
User preferences
Sensitivity levels
Custom blocklists
Optional AI settings
No personal data is stored.
AI Social Filter does not:
Sell user data
Transfer user data to third parties for advertising
Use user data for profiling
Use user data for creditworthiness or lending decisions
The extension operates entirely within the browser environment and does not maintain external databases of user information.
