Youtube clip - Agrilife Starr
Reference: Escobar, J. & Vidal, J. (2015). Types of Soil. AgriLife Starr.
This video introduces students to different types of soil and how they absorb and can be used for agriculture. Creating a worksheet to go with this video will help students to remember and refer back to the information in the video. The worksheet would include questions like what are the different soil types and how do they best suit the environment they are found in. This video is a good way for students to examine how soil can influence agricultural yields.
Bureau of Meteorology (BOM)
Reference: Bureau of Meteorology. (2022). Climate Data Online. http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/data/.
Using the BOM climate data site, students can navigate through climate information (including temperature and rainfall) for many different places across Australia. BOM provides information in many different forms including graphs, tables and statistics, improving and developing students geographical skills and application of tools.
