Local Talking News for the Blind and Visually Impaired

Every two weeks, volunteers at Sussex Coast Talking News produce recordings, that can be listened to on CDs, of local news for Littlehampton, Worthing and Shoreham.  The CDs are sent out free to all Sussex Coast Talking News listeners.  As well as the news, the CDs carry a fortnightly magazine, covering a variety of topics.  Most recently, these topics have included Remembrance and the Centenary of the WW1, Horses and Equestrian Life, and a Trip down Route 66.  The News broadcast as well as the Magazine are also available to listen to on this website.

If you own an Amazon Alex device you can listen to our recordings, or any other Talking Newspaper by saying "Alexa, open Talking Newspapers" ,  when you receive a reply from Alexa you can reply with either  "Open Sussex Coast Talking Newspaper or Open Sussex Coast Talking Magazine".      If part way through the recording you tell Alexa to stop or pause, you can get back in as before and Alexa will ask you If you want to continue from where you stopped or alternatively just start again.

For Archived Magazines you may select from the Archived Recordings tab at the top this page.

If you would like us to send you a free CD or USB every fortnight containing the News and the Magazine contact us by email at sctalkingnews@gmail.com or phone   01903 776569.
