This site is designed primarily as a hub for existing members of Sussex Young Ringers, and their parents/guardians, to easily access the latest information about the group's activities.
Sussex Young Ringers (SYR) is an initiative run by the Sussex County Association of Change Ringers (SCACR), providing opportunities for young members of the association to get together, have fun, develop their skills, and eat cake!
Any members of the association aged 18 or under are welcome to join as a member of SYR, where you can take part in events including outings, practices and quarter peals, all organised by the SYR team on behalf of the association, and targeted specifically at junior ringers.
SYR meets around once a month for general meetings, moving across the county, open to all members.
We also organise occasional outings and other special events, and enter a team into 2 major youth contests each year.
If you're applicable and interested in joining us at Sussex Young Ringers, we'd love to see you!
Just contact us or come along to any open practice listed in our diary to find out more.
When you join us at SYR, you'll need to fill out the 'permission to ring' form which can be completed online and is linked within the 'files' section of this website.
If you are not a bellringer, but may be interested in learning to ring in Sussex, then please
See below some of our upcoming events in the Sussex Young Ringers diary.
