Welcome to the web site of the Susquehannock Fly Fishers! We are here to promote the benefits of fly fishing through conservation, education, fellowship, and participation.
Our objectives are to encourage the wise use of our natural resources; to promote the enjoyment of outdoor recreation; and to improve awareness of the benefits of fly fishing in our community.
We pursue these objectives in several ways.
In conjunction with the Red Rose Chapter of the Izaak Walton League, we facilitate 3 days of fishing in May for the disadvantaged students in each of our county's six school districts, 2 districts at a time;
in May, we also actively participate in the Lebanon County Federation of Sportsmen veterans fishing program; we also host a fly casting station at their Lebanon County Youth Field Day, held at the Heidelberg Sportsman's Association the first Saturday in June;
we conduct a clinic to teach fly casting technique to novice fishermen at the Palmyra Sportsman's Association Family Field Day in October; and
we conduct a multi-session fly tying class for beginner and advanced fly-tiers every winter, with weekly classes starting in January.
Additional information on these events and other club activities can be found in the menu on the left. You can select the menu by clicking on the icon to the left of our logo on the page banner.
