Welcome to my page!
I am an applied microeconomist. My research activities lie within the fields of development economics, labour economics and industrial organisation.
In development, I am interested in policy-relevant questions in health, education and sustainable livelihood, with focus on India and Sub-Saharan Africa. In labour economics, I am currently trying to understand various incentive schemes that work for the online labour market. Within industrial organisation, my research focuses on public procurement, bureaucracy and public organisations in the context of Finland and Sweden.
Currently, I am a post-doctoral researcher at the Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku, Finland. I have also worked as a research consultant at United Nations University - World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER), Finland.
I obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Turku in December 2020. I hold a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Calcutta, India. I hold another Master's degree with a Major in Public Economics from the University of Konstanz, Germany.
*NEWS* In March-April 2023, I will be on a research visit at ZEW Mannheim, Germany.
