Welcome to my page!
I am a post-doctoral researcher at Turku School of Economics in University of Turku, Finland, and a consultant at UNU-WIDER (United Nations University - World Institute for Development Economics Research), Finland.
My research interests are broadly defined within the field of applied development economics. My current research concentrates on investigation of constraints to the success of credit and health related policies and programmes in developing countries. I use experimental and secondary survey data for my research. Through my research, I would like to understand the intricacies in the decision-making of low-income households on human capital acquisition and how that can be impacted by public policy.
I obtained a PhD in Economics from University of Turku in December 2020. I hold a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Economics from University of Calcutta, India. I hold another Master's degree with Major in Public Economics from University of Konstanz, Germany.
