It's a place to make, but it is much, much more. The process is different for each student, but the main effect is that students get to "construct" their own learning. The important thing is that students are actively engaged in the process. Every good making activity requires documentation (Hero Photo) and a reflection
Using short challenges to improve team work and collaboration have a positive transfer to making activities and allow everyone to contribute.
Most maker activities can be upscaled for older students. Usually, you can do this by adding constraints to the challenge or building activity. Using fewer resources or resources specified by the teacher.
