The film has seven songs composed by Harris Jayaraj with lyrics written by Thamarai and Na. Muthukumar. The original soundtrack album, distributed by Sony BMG, featured an instrumental track not included in the film.[32] The songs from the albums were released to four leading radio stations in Chennai, with one song per station, in attempt to popularise it five days before the official launch on 24 September 2008, which was the first of its kind in Indian cinema.[33] The album opened to positive response from music critics and audiences and became the most downloaded Tamil album during that time,[34] and was considered to be one of the best albums of that decade.[35] It became the most played and repeated soundtracks within the arrival of music streaming platforms in the Indian music scene.[36]
1 have watched v1000 Telugu dubbed yesterday. As a person who has already watched this film, it felt so bored. The only good part of the re release was the songs. There were mad celebrations during all the songs but except that nothing else felt really good. I remember watching v1000 for the first time and being absolutely love with it but now I have realised not every good/great films have rewatch value. IK people are gonna oppose me but this is just my opinion. Mediocre films such as pokiri and billa made me enjoy during re release

What is bad: The film is painfully slow. The first half seems like it is a couple hours long and has four songs plus a bit song crammed in. The second half is even longer and most importantly, takes off on a completely different tangent.
