REFLECTION

Emergent literature is the use of technology in making literatures. Many technology based literatures spawned due to its accessibility where internet is everywhere nowadays. Wattpad and eBooks are great examples. I myself read Wattpad stories once when I was in high school. Many kids nowadays probably think that reading is boring but because it made accessible and easy they can find it interesting.

In our class we discuss what emergent literature is which is A Technologically driven form of literature. It is the sub genre of contemporary literature. Contemporary literature, unlike emergent, doesn't necessary have to be used in technology for as long as it belongs to the same period. Popular on the other hand is different, their are many contemporary pieces but not popular. Popular and emergent may also sometimes intertwined. Some popular literatures are read in any media or technology based platform. Most of the popular movies were digitalized making it both popular and emergent. Some examples of emergent literature include Wattpad stories, eBooks, and digital storytelling. Wattpad is a website and app where users can share their own stories. eBooks are electronic books that can be read on computers, tablets, and e-readers. Digital storytelling is a form of storytelling that uses multimedia, such as images, video, and audio, to tell a story.

Overall, Emergent literature is which is A Technologically driven form of literature. Unlike emerging literature, contemporary literature does not have to be employed in technology for as long as it is from the same time period. Popular, on the other hand, is a different story; there are many current compositions, but they are not popular.
