SurLoop is a music-practice Android app that lets users select an audio file from their device and adjust its pitch (semitones), speed and loop settings for practice. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use SurLoop.
1. Audio files and app data
SurLoop uses the Android system file picker so you choose which audio file the app may access. The selected audio is processed on your device for playback, pitch, speed and loop controls. SurLoop does not upload your selected audio to our servers.
The app may store a local reference to the selected file and your practice or advertising preferences on your device. You can remove this local data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. SurLoop does not require you to create an account, and the current version does not collect microphone recordings or precise location through our own servers.
2. Advertising and consent
SurLoop uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to show banner ads and optional rewarded video ads. A rewarded ad is shown only after you choose the reward option; watching it may temporarily remove banner ads.
Depending on your device, region, consent choices and Google settings, Google Mobile Ads and its partners may collect or process information such as IP address or general location inferred from it, device and advertising identifiers, app interactions, diagnostics, performance information and ad-view information. This information may be used to deliver ads, measure performance, prevent fraud and improve advertising services.
Where required, SurLoop asks for advertising consent through Google's consent system. Ads may be personalized, non-personalized or limited according to your choices and applicable law.

3. How information is used
Information handled by the app and its service providers may be used to:
• provide audio playback, pitch, speed and loop features;
• remember local app settings;
• display and measure advertisements;
• detect fraud, abuse, crashes and technical problems; and
• comply with legal obligations.
4. Sharing and sale of data
We do not sell your selected audio or personal information. SurLoop does not send selected audio files to AdMob. Advertising-related information may be processed by Google and its advertising partners under their own privacy policies and consent choices.
5. Data retention and deletion
Audio references and app settings stored by SurLoop remain locally on your device until you change them, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. Data processed by Google or other advertising providers is retained and deleted according to their own policies. You can review or change advertising consent choices from the app when that option is available.
6. Children's privacy
SurLoop is a general-audience music-practice app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through our own servers. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information may contact us.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards and rely on Android's system file picker and on-device processing to reduce unnecessary access. No method of electronic processing is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, advertising features or legal requirements change. The latest version and updated date will be posted on this page. If future versions add recording, cloud storage, accounts or karaoke-processing services, this policy will be updated before those features are released.
