Suriname Gaming

My happy time in Suriname began in January 2006, and I tried to go there with consulting from MAGNUM Industries Ltd. I flew out with KLM not my favorite airline and landed in Parramaribo, Suriname's capital. This was my first encounter with Suriname's world of public service, it was free for everyone at the immigration office, and it took me a long time to get a visa at that hot, stuffy office even though I had official documents for entry. When I came out of the airport building and met my very good friend Brian Oniel who was picking me up, I felt the least bit down, and I think I mumbled following the words "to the house next door." But Brian as always changed my mood almost immediately with his usual smart actions, and we were on our way to the Golden Tuel Hotel, where I will stay and work for the three-month consultation period after arriving and throwing my luggage in the room. (The Captain Pugwash Suite! Long story) We had something to eat in a hotel restaurant and then we went to see executive director Jeffrey Klake and his wife, Janice. Jeffery owns MAGNUM Industries Ltd., you couldn't want to meet a better man, and he's also a very good businessman. Janice is one of the best chefs I've ever met, one of the driving forces behind Kitchen, and they're an amazing partnership. After a few drinks and meeting Daniel Tarnogrodzki, MAGNUM's security, surveillance and slot department, we began a quick tour of some stadium casinos. Paramaribo has 14 casinos, most are within walking distance, two casinos owned by MAGNUM are located at both ends of the city, and it was clear that you weren't taking a walk in the park to boost operations because you had to go to your flagship Golden True Casino. For the next two weeks, I spent most of my time at MAGNUM's casino, and the other was the Golden Tulip Casino. And I met the best accountant I've ever worked with, Fang company accountant, as I mentioned earlier, Kathleen personnel manager Daniel, and of course Brian and catering at the hotel.

Let me tell you a little bit about Brian that I met in Mauritius. Brian was responsible for the security and surveillance of the casino and is one of the people I've worked with so far. One of the reasons is Brian's game background, general knowledge of the industry, and the general manager of the hotel, and despite providing game knowledge, Jeffrey still follows him.

In two weeks I told Jeffery that I would present my initial findings and present him with the full report I recommend later this month. Jeffery offered me the position of casino general manager very kindly and we mutually agreed to discuss the proposal again at the end of the three-month consultation period.

In time, the basics are forgotten in every casino and just as that was the first task, it was clear after visiting every contest that we were all doing the same thing in customer compensation, and in a place called promotion, I didn't call it promotion what I was doing. So we had to do something different, and after the tough decision to end the live game at the Golden Tulip Casino and just run the slots, I started making Golden True Casino a club, not a draw-in and a game casino. I achieved this by stopping customer reward "promotion" and increasing customer service and offering a variety of codon blue snacks that are very well suited to our customers. We changed the blackjack to significantly increase the percentage, as expected, and together with Fang and Brian, we introduced a voucher system for guests at a French Guyana hotel for a casino that worked magically. The Sculpture of Resistance was when we had a first birthday party for our customers, and the theme was circus circus. This was about turning the casino into a circus big top, dressing the staff in circus performers' costumes, and we dressed the sideshow and the usual circus kind of food. The staff was great, many offered their own costumes, and the rest were made by one employee. The atmosphere was really good. This was an invitation-only party, the promotion was a huge success, and we were inundated with requests for the following.

You may have suspected that I accepted Jeffrey's offer and became GM of the casino, but my time at Suriname was the happiest time of my career so far, and the best team I've ever worked with. Suriname itself is not the prettiest village I've ever worked for, but it's a truly integrated society and a place where you can feel like you want to settle down forever. At the time, I received an offer from Zodiac Casino, who was operating in Kazakhstan at the time, and after discussing it with Jeffrey, I reluctantly left Suriname, but this is a different story. 바다이야기
