The goal is to gain insight into the transformative power of these innovations and their role in shaping our world.
I chose to focus on 3D-printed hearts for my project because this exciting technology could change the way we approach organ transplants. By creating personalized hearts tailored to each patient, we can improve compatibility and increase the chances of successful surgeries. This innovation also helps address the shortage of donor organs, potentially saving many lives. Overall, 3D- printing in healthcares opens up new possibilities for personalized medicine, making it a fascinating topic to share or explore.
One interesting thing about a 3D-printed heart is that scientists can design its shape and internal structure before printing, then print the heart tissue so it matches the kind of study they want- like testing how cells grow or how injury affects the tissue. This makes experiments more controlled and repeatable.

What I learned from this project is that 3D-printed hearts let scientists create heart-like tissue layer by layer, so they can control what's inside the heart. This helps researchers study how heart cells grow and respond to injury or stress, and it also makes it easier to test how blood-vessel structure forms something that's important for keeping the tissue alive and working like real heart tissue.
