Replacing parts for M01 model, stand, and manuals.
This model is a commercial version of "the world's first incisive and precise human nasal model for Endonasal surgery" developed by AIST, Japan in 2003.
The model precisely reproduces the nasal bone structure, based on the CT images of the human nose. (Note: This is more like a dry-skull without mucosa. Anatomical precision is sometimes sacrificed to reproduce the "right feelings" in incision.)
The model provides tactile perceptions that are similar to real tissue in resection and incision using clinical surgical equipment.
Possible procedure : Ethmoidectomy, Sphenoidectomy, opening the natural ostium of the Maxillary sinus, etc.
Applicable equipment : endoscopes, forceps, tweezers, drills (stainless blades only; those produce much heat, such as diamond balls, are not usable.), etc.
Areas for incision (ethmoid sinus etc.) are made to be replaceable parts to minimize the training cost.
The model is X-ray CT compatible and usable with Image Guided Surgery (IGS) systems.
