General instructions:

It is mandatory for all the students to complete an internship with a minimum duration of 4 weeks. 

This internship will provide you with valuable practical experience and insights into your field of study, and will greatly contribute to your overall learning and development.

To ensure flexibility and accommodate your preferences, we have outlined three options for completing your internship. 

Please carefully consider these options in the order of preference:

All 4 weeks at an Industry/Academic Institution during your vacation period:

We highly encourage you to utilize your vacation period effectively by securing an internship opportunity in an industry or academic institution. This option allows you to experience the real-world applications of your academic knowledge and gain exposure to a professional work environment.

Partially during your vacation period and partially at NITPY after reopening:

If you are unable to secure a full 4-week internship during your vacation, you may consider dividing your internship period. You can complete a portion of the internship during your vacation and the remaining duration at NITPY after the reopening. This way, you can maximize your learning opportunities while still meeting the minimum duration requirement.

Entire duration at NITPY after reopening:

As a last resort, if you are unable to secure an external internship opportunity, you will have the option to complete your internship entirely at NITPY after the reopening. We recommend this option only if the first two options are not feasible for you.

Please note that it is your responsibility to find suitable internship opportunities, whether within the industry, academic institutions, or within NITPY itself. However, we are here to assist you and provide guidance throughout the process. Once you have finalized your internship plans, please make sure to intimate me via email with HoD/ECE in cc and submit the necessary documentation. This documentation should include details of the organization or institution where you will be interning, along with a proposed schedule of your internship. If you plan to do the internship at NITPY, either for partial or complete duration, you will be assigned an internal guide and you should report to them for internship work after class hours and on weekends to meet the time duration specified for the internship program.
