About me

Ms. Surbhi Priya completed her bachelor (Nanotechnology) from Central University of Jharkhand and Master Degree (Solid State Physics) from IIT Kharagpur. During M.Tech she worked on Morphology Driven Tuning of SnO2 nanostructure for VOC sensing.

As a Ph. D. candidate in Energy Science and Engineering she aims to design and integrate renewable energy system.

CURRENT POSITION: Doctor of Philosophy (2nd Year) at School of Energy Science & Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. She is working on Integrated Device for Generation and Storage of Solar Electricity under the supervision of Guide: Prof Amreesh Chandra, Physics Department, IIT Kharagpur; Co-Guide: Prof Trilok Singh, School of Energy Science & Engineering.

Achievements

  • Received PMRF fellowship 2021.

  • Secured an All India Rank of 396 with a valid gate score of 375 in GATE in4th year of B.E (2017)

  • Received Best poster award at International Conference on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (2019).

  • Adept at using X-ray diffractometer and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller Instrument

  • Proficient in doing Rietveld Refinement for characterization of crystalline materials.

  • Skilled in using Scanning Tunneling Microscope and depositing thin film using Dip Coater. Characterization of tools like TGA/DTA , DLS , SEM, TEM, UV-Vis.
