About Suraj

Suraj Dinakar Shetty 'Synthesist' is a Musician and a music educator. He is trained in Hindustani Classical & Western Classical Music, but his performance and projects have been wider including the aforementioned Genres to Progressive Psychedelic Rock, Progressive/ Melodic Metal, Alt-Rock, World Fusion, Ambient Jazz, etc. He has also given Live music for professional Theater acts across different languages.

Suraj is nicknamed as Wolf by a few for a good sense of Aural (listening and identifying those music thingy) sense (& also for his sense of smell, ....Shush, don't tell him we told you this.). Suraj DOES NOT possess perfect pitch. Suraj has transcribed Chord-Sheets (a.k.a Fake Sheet) &Music Sheets (Open and closed Staff notation sheets) for Other artists' advanced pieces by first hand listening.

He has taught across 3 different Music Institutes &currently heads the Keyboard/Piano Vertical at Furtados School of Music, which spans across India &has Students across the globe. Suraj also has taught Piano &Keyboard in small groups &solo, for Beginners to Advanced ranging in age group of 3.5 years to Senior citizens. In Formal School Campus, Suraj bags an experience of being music Teacher from Pre-primary to Primary &Secondary & Higher secondary Music education , across Classroom Music curriculums to I.G.C.S.E, I.S.C, I.B.D.P Music programmes.
