Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC) is one of the most beautiful campuses in Navi (New) Mumbai. I am a Ph.D. student in INO (India-Based Neutrino Observatory) and working in the Nuclear Physics Division (NPD) in the Department of Physics BARC Mumbai. I am working under the supervision of Dr. L. M. Pant (BARC) and Prof. S. Uma Sankar (IIT Bombay). My main work is to study the Reactor Anti-Neutrino Anomaly. The Anti-Neutrino produced from the Dhruva Nuclear Reactor through the Inverse Beta Process. To study the Antineutrino we are using a Matrix of (100) Plastic Scintillator. The whole setup is called ISMRAN (Indian Scintillator Matrix for Reactor Anti-Neutrino). When Anti-Neutrino is produced from the Reactor it will interact with the Plastic Scintillator and will lose its energy, after interaction it produces positron. We study the behavior of positrons and with information of positrons, we can predict the change in the behavior of Anti-Neutrino.
