Surajit Kalita

I work as an Assistant Professor (adiunkt) at the Astronomical Observatory, University Warsaw. 

Some of my current research interests are 

• General theory of relativity and its possible modifications.

• Physics of compact objects: white dwarfs, neutron stars, black holes.

• Fast radio bursts

• Gravitational waves.

• Understanding bounds on fundamental constants.

• Noncommutative geometry and its astrophysical application.

I am also a member of the following scientific working groups:

• HIRAX: Hydrogen Intensity and Real-Time Analysis eXperiment project (cosmology and transients survey).

• MEERTIME: MeerTime project under MeerKAT telescope (transients survey).

• COSMOVERSE: Addressing observational tensions in cosmology with systematics and fundamental physics (CA21136).
