Ready Made Wall Panels.

India is going higher in terms of construction and with every additional floor, the need to have lighter building materials becomes a necessity. Along with light weight, the material should also be easy to use and moreover faster to install. Walls, contribute to a considerable amount of weight to the building and therefore a substitute to conventional wall systems becomes very necessary. The substitute should meet the above criteria without compromising on the strength or the insulating properties. 

Although fly-ash blocks are lighter and have been in the market for a while now; they still require cement and mortar and consume a lot of time for construction and curing both, not taking into account the subsequent processes of plastering, wall finishing and painting. 

We at RWCH therefore suggest the use of precast or ready made wall panels of different makes and sizes based on the performance and the aesthetics required. These panels range from 50mm and go upto 150mm and provide excellent aesthetics along with considerable space savings. The site conditions being favourable, a team of trained installers could install about 30Sqm of wall panels in a day, much more than that possible the conventional way. 

In terms of uses, these are not limited to tall buildings but also find extensive use in resorts, farm houses, temporary structures, weekend homes, partitions, offices, residences, etc. 

While opting for such a concept, it should be borne in mind the performance and the aesthetics required. Performance in terms of strength and insulation (sound and thermal) and in terms of aesthetics, the surface finish possible and the possibility of concealing the wires and plumbing lines. This is just a reference base; a lot of other factors need to be considered as well.
