Dr. D. Amilan Jose (DAJ) was born and raised in South part of Tamil Nadu, India. After the early education in Chemistry from Loyola College, Chennai (B. Sc and M.Sc), he received his Ph.D from Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI, CSIR-Lab) in Bhavnagar, Gujarat with Dr. Amitava Das. Then, he moved to UJF France and then Germany as Alexander von Humboldt fellow to join the group of Prof. Burkhard koenig research group. In 2009 he joined the group of Prof. Anton Vidal at ICIQ, Tarragona as a Marie Curie fellow. Further, He also did his postdoctoral research work with Prof. Achim muller, University of Bielefield and Prof. A. Schiller, University of Jena in Germany. He joined the Department of Chemistry, National Institute of Technology(NIT) Kurukshetra in June- 2013 and currently he is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry.
Dr Amilan has published about 80 research papers (> 40 papers published as a corresponding author), and 5 book chapters with a H-Index of 33. Dr Amilan is currently a Guest Editor for special issue in Molecules and Frontiers in Chemistry. He has Peer Reviewed ~50 international journals.
Since 2014, Dr Amilan has attracted 6 research grants (> 1.5 crore Indian rupees) as Principle investigator and grant assessor of CSIR, DBT, SERB-DST, Alexander von Humboldt and Marie-Curie Organisation of Scientific Research.
