Below is a list of links to either websites or activties that require no pre-planning or special resources.

Pencils, paper and whiteboard should be enough.

While I own some of the material linked below, much of it has come from searching the internet or donations from other people.

This is why everything is free to use.

Building Bridges

This is a single or mutiplayer game which can be played either coopertively or competatively. You'll need a deck of cards or a few sets of 0-9 cards.

The following block is a set of randomly generated times tables questions including straight multiplication, division, and fractions.

Having a deck of cards is handy. You can:

shuffle and deal them out to the children and see how fast you can make it around the room...

set the class into teams and call on them team by team, scoring points as they go...

set the class into teams and let them asnwer gameshow style...

draw random cards and pick random children to answer...

If you don't have a deck of cards, click the image above to have one randomly generated.

The following activities were intended to be played with a set of Jenga blocks. I'm not expecting you to have one of those, so there is a random number generator to the right that will pick a number from 1-54 (refresh the page to get a new number).

A way to make this more interactive for the children would be to have them get their reading books and find an adjective, an adverbial, an expanded noun phrase - anything GPS-y and then declare the page number. You can then either use that page number, or do some quick maths... or just make it up!
