2023 Race Classes
Racing Requirements:
To race an SDR event you must…
1) Purchase a Membership:
a) Membership fees are: ***No membership fees for the 2023 season***
2) We do run a 50cc first time rider incentive. This incentive has been put in place to help encourage new young riders to come out and give it a try. Here are the details for that…
a) For your first 50cc race (either bike or ATV) we waive the cost of the MRC membership and the 1st race entry cost.
3) Race Entries are $40 per class
5) All waivers must be signed. There is a waiver on the back of each race entry for that you must sign. If you are under the age of 18 a parent or legal guardian must sign it as well as yourself
Required Equipment
The minimum equipment requirements to begin racing are a DOT approved helmet or better, goggles, long sleeve jersey, gloves, long pants, and boots with ankle protection. MRC and SDR recommend that proper motocross equipment be acquired if you decide to compete on a regular basis. These pieces of equipment include
1. DOT approved helmet or better
2. shatterproof goggles
3. motocross jersey with elbow and shoulder padding
4. front and back chest protector
5. motocross gloves with finger padding
6. kidney belt
7. motocross pants with hip and knee pads
8. motocross boots with ankle protection
9. Knee braces are optional but are highly recommended for riders that have knee problems or for taking preventative measures.

Track Rules and Etiquette may vary by location, but there are some general golden rules for keeping safe out there.
1) Always look both ways before entering a track
2) Hold your line when being overtaken by a faster/ more experienced rider
3) First gear/idle speed in the pits. Riders speeding in the pits will be penalized.
4) Slow down/move over for downed riders.
