This Privacy Policy applies to the Super Hearing: Live Sound mobile application (referred to as to as the “Application”), developed by Skywork Technologies (referred to as the “Service Provider”).
The Application is available as a free service supported by advertisements, with an optional paid subscription. It is provided on an “AS IS” basis.
The Application does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, contacts or precise location.
The Application and its third-party service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, including:
Your device’s Internet Protocol address
Device type, operating system version and language
Advertising identifiers and app-instance identifiers
App interactions, session information and features used
Crash reports, diagnostics and performance information
Subscription status and purchase-related identifiers
This information may be used to operate the Application, display advertisements, process subscriptions, diagnose technical problems, prevent fraud and improve performance and user experience.
The Application requests the RECORD_AUDIO permission to provide its core sound-amplification and recording features.
The microphone is used to:
Capture surrounding sound for live listening
Amplify sound in real time
Apply volume boost, noise reduction and left/right balance controls
Record audio only when you deliberately activate the recording feature
Live microphone audio is processed to provide the requested listening functionality. It is not saved as a recording unless you choose to start recording.
The Application does not use microphone access to secretly monitor users or collect conversations for advertising purposes.
Audio recordings created through the Application are stored locally on your device.
You can play, rename or delete saved recordings through the Application. The Service Provider does not upload or store these recordings on its own external servers unless a future feature clearly informs you otherwise and obtains any required consent.
Deleting a recording through the Application removes that recording from the Application’s local storage. Uninstalling the Application may also remove locally stored Application data, subject to your device’s backup and storage settings.
You should avoid recording other people without their knowledge or where doing so would violate applicable laws.
The Application may request the following Bluetooth permissions:
BLUETOOTH
BLUETOOTH_ADMIN
BLUETOOTH_CONNECT
The legacy BLUETOOTH and BLUETOOTH_ADMIN permissions apply only to supported Android versions up to Android 11.
Bluetooth permissions are used to identify, connect to and manage compatible audio devices, such as connected headphones or speakers.
The Application does not use Bluetooth permissions to determine or collect your precise location. Bluetooth availability and behaviour may vary depending on your device, Android version and connected audio equipment.
The free version of the Application may display advertisements through Google AdMob.
Advertising providers may process information such as:
Advertising identifiers
IP address
Device and operating-system information
General app interactions
Ad impressions, clicks and performance data
Approximate location inferred from an IP address
Advertising data is processed according to the policies and consent settings provided by the relevant advertising service.
You may be able to limit personalized advertising through your Android device or Google account settings.
The Application may offer optional subscriptions through Google Play.
Payments are processed by Google Play. The Service Provider does not receive or store your complete payment-card or banking information.
The Service Provider may receive limited purchase information required to provide premium access, including:
Product or subscription identifier
Purchase token or transaction identifier
Subscription status
Trial, renewal, cancellation or expiration status
Country or region associated with the transaction
Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled through your Google Play account.
The Application may use third-party services that process information under their own privacy policies, including:
These providers may process device information, identifiers, advertising information, purchase information, diagnostics and app-usage data as necessary to deliver their services.
The Service Provider does not sell or rent your personal information.
Information may be shared only:
With service providers that operate advertising, billing, analytics or crash-reporting functionality
When required by law, regulation, court order or legal process
To protect the rights, property or safety of users, the Service Provider or others
To detect, investigate or prevent fraud, abuse or security incidents
As part of a merger, acquisition or transfer of the Application, subject to appropriate privacy protections
Audio recordings stored locally on your device are not shared by the Service Provider.
Locally stored recordings and app data remain on your device until you delete them, clear the Application’s storage or uninstall the Application.
Technical, advertising, diagnostic and purchase-related information processed by third-party providers is retained according to those providers’ respective privacy policies and legal obligations.
Because the Application does not require an account, the Service Provider may not be able to identify or remotely delete data stored exclusively on your device.
You may:
Deny or revoke microphone permission through Android settings
Deny or revoke Bluetooth permission through Android settings
Delete individual recordings inside the Application
Clear the Application’s local storage
Limit personalized advertising through your device or Google account
Cancel your subscription through Google Play
Stop further collection associated with use of the Application by uninstalling it
Contact the Service Provider regarding privacy questions or applicable data-rights requests
Disabling microphone or Bluetooth permissions may prevent related Application features from functioning.
The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information through the Application, contact the Service Provider so the matter can be investigated and appropriate action taken.
The Service Provider uses reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information handled through the Application.
Recordings stored locally are also subject to your device’s security, backup and storage settings. No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
The Application is a general sound-amplification and recording utility. It is not a hearing aid, medical device or diagnostic tool, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or compensate for hearing loss.
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes to the Application, its services or legal requirements.
Any revised policy will be published on this page with an updated effective date. You are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
