Privacy Policy for SuperCode Editor
Phoenix Global Studios built the SuperCode Editor app as a Commercial app. This SERVICE is provided by Phoenix Global Studios and is intended for use as is.
1. Information Collection and Use SuperCode Editor respects your privacy. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal identification data to our own servers. Your code files are primarily processed and saved strictly locally on your device.
2. Storage Permissions and Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE & SAF) To provide a desktop-grade IDE experience, SuperCode Editor functions as a comprehensive Code Editor and File Manager.
Internal & External Storage: We require the "All Files Access" (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) permission to construct a global file tree (Explorer), allowing you to seamlessly navigate, create, edit, and manage code projects across your device's entire internal and external storage.
USB/OTG Drives (Storage Access Framework): For high-capacity external drives (e.g., 2TB USB/OTG drives) restricted by modern Android security policies, we utilize the standard Android Storage Access Framework (SAF). The app will prompt you to explicitly grant access via the system's secure directory picker. We request "persistable URI permissions" strictly so you do not have to re-authorize your external drive every time you open the app or plug it in.
Data Handling Guarantee: We strictly access your storage for local rendering and file management. We do not secretly scan, collect, or upload your personal files, photos, or documents to any remote server. File data only leaves your device when you explicitly trigger a network action (such as pushing to a Git repository, uploading via FTP, or using the Cloud Compile feature).
3. Cloud Compilation Feature (Third-Party API) To provide you with the ability to compile and run your code directly on your mobile device, our app features a "Cloud Compile/Run" function.
How it works: When you explicitly tap the "Run" button, the specific source code you are currently editing is securely transmitted to a third-party compilation service API (such as Wandbox) for execution.
Data handling: Only the specific code snippet required for compilation is sent. We do not send your name, account details, or device identifiers. The third-party API processes the code solely to return the execution output to your screen.
4. Network and Remote Server Permissions
Internet Permission: Required to connect to the Cloud Compilation API, and to interact with the Git repositories (e.g., GitHub, GitLab) or Remote Servers (SSH/FTP) that you explicitly configure.
Credential Security: Your server passwords, SSH keys, and Git tokens are encrypted and saved locally on your device. They are never shared with Phoenix Global Studios or any unauthorized third parties.
5. Third-Party Tracking The app does not use third-party tracking or advertising SDKs that collect personal data.
