Super Spin West Table Tennis Club was formed in 2026 by Randy Dalzell, the owner of the Dalzell Athletic Center.
Mr. Dalzell’s goal is to create a strong and vibrant table tennis club on the west side of the DFW Metroplex in order to increase the growth and opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy playing table tennis.
Mr. Dalzell is a retired college track & field/cross country coach with a long history of athletic involvement in a variety of sports. This included playing college basketball and soccer at Columbia Christian College in Portland, Oregon and playing many years of youth baseball, basketball and table tennis in eastern Oregon where he grew up in Ontario, Oregon. As a college student athlete, Mr. Dalzell earned the following honors: Columbia Christian College Associated Student Body President 1984-85, Alpha Chi Scholar Athlete of the Year 1984-1985, Alpha Chi National College Honor Scholarship Society 1985-1987, Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities 1985-1987, Mathematics Education Award 1987, and NAIA Academic All-American Award 1986-87.His college athletic career was shortened due to a very serious knee injury that caused him to miss two full seasons and nearly ended his athletic career.
Coach Dalzell would go on to become a multiple time national coach of the year in track and field/cross country as a college coach at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho, Concordia University-Portland in Portland, Oregon, George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon and Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth,Texas. His teams won two national championships - one at Concordia University-Portland and one at Northwest Nazarene University. He was also associate head coach of a third national championship team at George Fox University. He was named conference, regional or national coach of the year 33 times and had over 200 All-American athletes and 32 national champions in his track & field/cross country programs. He has coached at the high school, NAIA, NCAA D2 and NCAA D3 levels, having coached and taught in a variety of settings over his 40-year career.
Mr. Dalzell had a total right knee replacement in the summer of 2025, and as part of his rehab started playing competitive table tennis again. He is now very active in competitive table tennis, as well as enjoying downhill skiing, biking and general fitness training activities. Mr. Dalzell also teaches high school mathematics at Brock High School, where he is affectionately known as “Mr. Razzle Dazzle”.
