About Me

This is Suparna Bhattacharyya and currently, I am a Prime Minister Research Fellow (PMRF) (Ph.D. 3rd year with Institute Roll no. 19CH92R06), at the Department of Chemical Engineering IIT Kharagpur, West Bengal, India under the supervision of Prof. Sudipto Chakraborty and Prof. Surjya K. Pal. I joined the institute on 2nd January 2020 and was awarded with prestigious Prime Minister Research Fellowship in December 2020. My specialization is in the field of Heat Transfer, Coating and Wastewater Treatment.

I gained around 2.5 years of R&D experience at CSIR-Central Glass And Ceramic Research Institute (CGCRI) before joining IIT-Kharagpur. Completed my M.E in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, West Bengal, India (2015-2017) and my B.TECH in the same stream from WBUT, West Bengal, India (2011-2015). I have dedicatedly worked in the field of Wastewater Treatment, Waste Management, Nano-coating and Thin films with few publications in the past years.
