Welcome to Supadha ("we," "our," or "us"). Supadha is a mobile application that provides spiritual and educational content including audio, video, publications, magazines, syllabus materials, quotes, and contact information for centers and members.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information Collected from All Users
Device Language/Locale: We detect your device's language setting to provide content in your preferred language (English or Telugu).
App Preferences: We store your language preference and font size preference locally on your device using on-device storage. This data is not transmitted to our servers.
2.2 Information Collected from Authorized Administrators
Our application has an administrative login feature restricted to pre-registered members. If you are an authorized administrator, we collect:
Phone Number: Used for authentication via one-time password (OTP) verification.
Full Name: Used for display and identification within the admin interface.
Profile Photo: Optionally uploaded for your admin profile.
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect location data.
We do not collect contacts from your device.
We do not collect financial or payment information.
We do not use cookies or web tracking technologies.
We do not collect data from users who browse the app without logging in, beyond the device preferences stored locally on their device.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
Authentication: To verify the identity of authorized administrators via phone number and OTP.
Content Delivery: To provide spiritual and educational content in your preferred language.
App Functionality: To remember your in-app preferences (language, font size, audio playback state) for a better user experience.
Administration: To allow authorized administrators to manage and publish content within the application.
4. Third-Party Services
Our application uses the following third-party services that may collect and process data:
4.1 Google Firebase (Google LLC)
Firebase Authentication: Processes phone numbers for OTP-based login. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Firebase Cloud Firestore: Stores application data including admin user profiles and content metadata.
Firebase Storage: Stores content files such as PDFs, images, audio, and video.
4.2 Google Input Tools (Google LLC)
Text entered by administrators may be sent to Google Input Tools (inputtools.google.com) for English-to-Telugu transliteration. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
4.3 Expo (Expo, Inc.)
We use Expo's update service for delivering over-the-air application updates. This may process app version metadata. Subject to Expo's Privacy Policy.
We do not use any advertising SDKs, analytics tracking, or crash reporting services that collect personal data. Analytics and advertising features are disabled in our application configuration.
5. Data Storage and Security
Local Storage: User preferences (language, font size, playback state) are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to external servers.
Cloud Storage: Administrator account data and application content are stored on Google Firebase servers. Firebase employs industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest.
Authentication Tokens: Session tokens are stored locally on your device and expire after 24 hours.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
6. Data Retention
Administrator Data: Admin account information is retained for as long as the account is active. Administrators may request deletion of their account data by contacting us.
Local Preferences: Stored locally on your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the application or clearing the app's data through your device settings.
Content Data: Content uploaded by administrators is retained until removed by an administrator.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your information may be shared only in the following circumstances:
Service Providers: With third-party service providers (Google Firebase, Expo) as described in Section 4, solely for the purpose of operating the application.
Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process, we may disclose your information to comply with applicable legal obligations.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the systems used to manage and deliver the Supadha application.
Administrative access is restricted to authorized personnel.
However, no digital system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
Our application does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The administrative login feature is restricted to pre-registered adult members. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
10. Content Ownership
All publications, teachings, magazines, and learning materials available in the Supadha app are owned or authorized by the Supadha organization.The app does not distribute third-party copyrighted content.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Access: Request a copy of your personal data we hold.
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.
Data Portability: Request a portable copy of your data.

12. Device Permissions
The application may request or use the following device capabilities:
Internet Access: Required for loading content and communicating with our servers.
File/Document Picker: Used by administrators to select files (PDFs, images) for upload.
Background Audio: To continue audio playback when the app is in the background.
The application does not request access to your camera, location, contacts, or microphone.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes are effective when posted.
