Smash "C" Sweeps New England "A"

The SUNY Potsdam Super Smash Bros. Ultimate "C" team took three straight rounds over the "A" team from New England College in a 3-0 victory on Monday night.

The Bears would win six stocks in Round 1 with 3-0 and 3-1 victories by Bowser in the first two matches before a 2-2 draw with Bowser Jr. in the third. A 1-0 Snake win over Bowser Jr. in the fourth match clinched the first round for Potsdam.

Round 2 would get underway with a 3-1 Link win over Joker. The next three matches ended in draws, 2-2 for Link and Bowser Jr., 1-1 for Wolf and Bowser Jr., and 1-1 for Wolf and Marth. Potsdam would claim the second round in the fifth match as Snake upended Marth, 2-1 to take the round with 2 stocks.

The third round started with a 3-1 Daisy win over Isabelle, with Daisy battling Mega Man to a 2-2 draw in the second match. After Mega Man took down Snake in the third match, Potsdam clinched the round and the crew battle with a 3-0 win by Snake over Marth. The Bears took home one stock in the final round.

The "C" squad will return to battle on Monday, November 11 when they take on the "B" team from SUNY Farmingdale.
