Smash "A" Takes Down Washington

The SUNY Potsdam Super Smash Bros. Ultimate "A" team upped their win streak to four with a 3-0 victory over Washington College in an ECAC crew battle on Monday night.

The Bears took control right off the bat as Tommy Harper (Link) took 9 stocks in the first round en route to wins over Palutena, Wolf, and King K. Rool for a 9-0 win.

Keanu Wiens (Captain Falcon) took over in the second round and battled Bowser, Lucario, and Incineroar, taking 8 stocks in three games played.

Daren Mena (Pikachu) wrapped up the round by claiming victory over Incineroar with three stocks left to secure the round for Potsdam, 6-0.

Mena opened Round 3 with Pikachu and took 8 more stocks in three games against Dark Samus, Palutena, and Lucina.

Coming in to close was Theo Cannamela (Bowser), who clinched the battle for Potsdam over Lucina with three stocks left to take the round 6-0 and the match 3-0.

The Smash "A" squad (4-1) wraps up their Fall 2019 season on Monday, November 18 as they take on Stockton University in the program's first ever matchup with a West Coast opponent.
