Our club has instilled years of training in the art and way of life of Taekwondo. Since 2001, we have trained students at SUNY Cortland in Taekwondo. Many have achieved their first degree black belt, some have even gone on to become masters in Taekwondo and even open their own schools. We believe in self-improvement, empowerment, and helping student's become better versions of themselves. We operate as a not-for-profit team, all money collected goes straight to the club to help fund tournaments, reduce out of pocket costs to students, and provide a training atmosphere that allows our members to train effectively.
Kelly is a certified 2nd Dan black belt. A 2016 graduate, Kelly has recently returned to continue to work with the club. She began her Taekwondo training when she joined the club during her freshman year, in 2012, as a white belt. Currently she has 9 years of experience. Outside of practice, she teaches middle school science in the local area.
Master Patrick Hall a 5th degree black belt, has worked with the Cortland team since 2016. The owner of P.R.I.D.E. Taekwondo since 2018, he has over 19 years of martial arts experience, including participation in several national and international competitions.

While we represent the Red Dragons, our club also has a unique mascot. In 2010, this giraffe, later named Leonidas, was won in a raffle at the college. Past alumni entered into it, and little did they know they would win a 3 foot tall giraffe. Leonidas has remained in the club ever since, he represents the unique individuality that each member brings to the club and is a part of our history.
