Discover Economics, Royal Economics Society:

Academic Champion (2023 - )

I serve as an Academic Champion in the RES-led mission to increase the diversity of economics students and raise awareness of the advantages of studying economics. My responsibilities include coaching and leading undergraduate Student Champions. I also lead them in outreach programmes to deliver speeches and workshops to disenfranchised high school students who otherwise do not have access to economics courses. I have been part of two outreach visits at the time of writing, with more such visits are planned in 2024.:

Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University:

Race Equality Committee: member and economics section representative (2023 - )

I serve as a committee member of the Cardiff Business School Race Equality Committee, a successor organisation to the People Committee to promote racial equality and inclusiveness of the Business School community. We achieve this by addressing racial inequality, raising awareness on issues concerning racial equality and actively promoting the values of the School and the University. The committee is working in line with the Welsh Government’s Anti-Racist Action Plan.

Cardiff University:

Research Culture Working Group (RCWG): member and representative (2022 - 2024 )

The RCWG is responsible for implementing the research culture action plan to encourage and promote supportive, creative, inclusive and open research and innovation at Cardiff University. I served as a member of the Training and Support Task Group at the capacity of PGR student representative.
