BCL is primarily focused on Neuromorphic Computing, which involves the development of innovative algorithms and architectures for both deep learning and spiking neural networks that are inspired by the brain.
Some of our notable works include
MindCore: a programmable neuromorphic accelerator that accelerates spiking neural networks using bit-packed spike events and multiplier-free processing.
SpikeMamba: a spike-domain state-space model that replaces dense MAC-heavy recurrent updates with event-driven binary accumulations for energy-efficient biomedical sequence modeling.
TSFT: a compact spiking-transformer architecture that preserves sample-level temporal information in EEG/ECG signals while reducing memory, computation, and power requirements.
We welcome highly motivated students who are interested in joining our research group as undergraduate research interns or graduate students (M.S./Ph.D.).
If you are interested, please feel free to reach out to Prof. Yang via email. (yoonseok.yang@sunykorea.ac.kr)
