Independent Researcher: Business Administration and PPE
Sunwoo Lee is an interdisciplinary researcher in Business Administration and PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics) at Kyungpook National University.
His work asks how numbers, disclosures, algorithms, and legal classifications organize visibility and accountability—across financial reporting standards, ESG valuation, fiscal policy, and platform-labor regulation. He pairs critical and Foucauldian readings of these instruments with labor law and financial accounting.
The pairing is deliberate. Post-structuralist tools, liberal-individualist conclusions: if institutions govern conduct through classification, the question that follows is what remains of the individual once classified.
So, Lee should research the liberal individual's economic system through behavioral macroeconomics. Why behavioral econ? Micro-power making such numbers, disclosures, algorithms, and legal classifications make a person "a bounded rational being". That's why he has to conduct this interdisciplinary research pipeline.
How institutions and standards construct reality, and where that construction fails?
