Students Rank Sunway Number 1 for Career Support in Global Student Barometer Study 2021
Students of Sunway College and Sunway University ranked both institutions number 1 in “Career Support” in the International Student Barometer 2021 survey. Both educational institutions achieved a combined 92.3% satisfaction rate compared to the average of 77.6% globally.
The barometer is a global benchmark for students’ experience that enables the tracking and comparison of student satisfaction in decision-making, expectations, perceptions, and intentions of students from application to graduation. A total of 107 universities from 15 countries participated globally, of which seven are from Malaysia.
Sunway Campus Library Awarded High Usage Award 2022
Every year, Emerald Publishing, Malaysia recognises academic institutions with the highest number of downloads of its eJournal content as part of its high usage award.
This year, we are extremely proud to announce that the #MostHappeningCampus has won the High Usage Award 2022, under the Private Institutions category.
Having experience in preparing students for the A-Level General Certificate of Education (GCE) qualification over 30 years, Sunway College’s A-Level programme has an excellent delivery system, which is reflected by its students’ consistent academic performance and top results over the years with students being accepted into the top universities worldwide, including University of Cambridge and University of Oxford.
True to its well-deserved reputation and track record of producing top achievers, Sunway College A-Level students have once again made the institution proud, with 62.2% achieving straight A* and As in the recent November examination.
A number of students from this cohort have had their efforts rewarded with offers from University of Cambridge and University of Oxford for the next step in their education journey.
Sunway A-Level has seen 390 Outstanding Cambridge Learners Awards (OCLA) awarded to its students to date.
The programme employs blended learning whereby teaching and learning take place via a dual-mode approach combining face-to-face instruction and self-directed learning via an e-learning platform, providing more flexibility to the students while continues to deliver quality and effective education.

World Awards – to be released in early Jan 2022
TWO Sunway College students were awarded first place and given the title Best Across by Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) for their excellent academic performance.
Students who achieve an A grade and attain the highest cumulative total standard marks over a set of subjects are honoured with the Best Across award.
A total of 11 A-Level students from Sunway College received 15 prestigious awards from CAIE, which acknowledge their outstanding performance in the June 2021 Cambridge examination series.
Sunway College continues to produce the highest number of Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards in Malaysia, with some 390 awards to date.
The A-Level programme was also named as the No.1 provider in the country by the Cambridge Assessment International Education office of Malaysia.
The institution achieved an astonishing 100% pass rate and 61.3% straight A* and As in the last May/June examination.

CAMBRIDGE GCE A-LEVEL PROGRAMME
Sunway College has been preparing students since 1994 for the General Certificate of Education (GCE) AdvancedLevel qualification through examinations set and assessed by the Cambridge International Examinations.
Cambridge is the world’s largest provider of international educational qualifications with more than 1,100 examination centres across the globe. More than 50 such centres are currently operating in Malaysia alone. The GCE A-Level qualification places emphasis on in-depth knowledge, deep understanding, strong reasoning abilities and critical thinking. It is arguably the most widely recognised pre-university qualification in the world, readily accepted as proof of superior academic ability for entry into world-class universities around the world.
In the June 2021 examination, 61.3% of our students achieved Straight A*/As. Our students have consistently topped the nation and the world, winning Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Economics, Accounting, Law, Thinking Skills, Literature in English, and History.
With 739 students passing the examination, the cohort celebrated a 100% pass amidst the tough pandemic season. Of the entire cohort, 61.3% of students achieved a minimum of 3As and above, which is the highest among the past years.
With excellent quality of Sunway College A-Level students, they often receive offers from world class universities around the world such as University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and more to further pursue their higher education. A pair of brilliant twins, Muhammad Shahmi bin Abdul Reezal and Muhammad Shafeeq bin Abdul Reezal both scored perfect 4 A*s in the examination and will be pursuing their Accounting and Finance degree in the London School of Economics and Political Science.
