As is said in Sunrise Principle 10, we unite with other movements for change. Supporting Indigenous sovereignty is an integral part of our movement and as such we aim to support and boost the message of varying groups of water protectors and activists against Line 3.
Leading up to the 2020 election, we joined with other Wisconsin hubs to host weekly "Friend to Friend" parties, asking our members to reach out to their networks and communities and ask them to join our cause and defeat Donald Trump.
We were proud to participate in Wide Awakes last summer by calling on Senator Ron Johnson, to demand that he honor democracy and justice by voting no on a Supreme Court nomination before the next presidential inauguration, and ask him to support a system that values justice: one that values people over profit and black lives over property.
