Sun Park is a certified music educator, ensemble director, and instructor of piano, percussion, and music theory who maintains a private studio in the Fort Worth area. She is recognized for her leadership in music education and nonprofit initiatives, and she actively collaborates with educational institutions and nonprofit organizations to expand meaningful opportunities for students and the broader community.
She currently serves as President of the Fort Worth Piano Teachers Forum, Chair and Director of the FWMTA/TMTA Piano Ensemble, Ex-Officio Member of the Board of Directors of The Cliburn, Member of the PAS Education Committee, and Steinway Educational Partner.
She is also the Founder of the Sun Park Foundation for Music Education, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for young musicians. The foundation's leadership includes distinguished educators and musicians such as Dr. Ilka Araújo, Dr. Diane Lange, Dr. Laehyung Woo, Benson Lee, and Zihao Wu.
She earned a Master of Music in Music Education from the University of Texas at Arlington and graduated summa cum laude from Texas Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, with dual emphases in Piano and Percussion Pedagogy. She is the recipient of the Outstanding Instrumental Music Major of the Year Award at Texas Wesleyan University and a three-time winner of the SAI Inter-American Music Competition.
Sun Park is dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for young musicians through scholarships, performance experiences, educational initiatives, student recognition programs, and community engagement. Passionate about investing in the next generation of musicians, Sun Park believes that music education extends far beyond technical achievement. She strives to inspire students to pursue musical excellence, develop confidence and humility, discover their unique artistic voice, and make a meaningful impact through music.
