Written Tribute by Tim Greene

Saundra was my mother-in-law. As you know, she was no ordinary person. She definitely did not fit the mother-in-law stereotype. She was, above all, thoughtful and caring toward the people around her. Her sense of charity ran very deep; she was a benefactor of so many charitable, environmental, and socially responsible organizations that it was really quite remarkable. She was kind and compassionate.

Saundra's duty to family was very important to her, from visiting sick relatives to overseeing the family gravesite maintenance to planning the annual summer beach gatherings. She always seemed to have an eye on how to safeguard the family cohesiveness. When she met Reg, she seemed to seamlessly assimilate his family as her own, with all of the same love, caring, and thoughtfulness she bestowed on her own family.

Saundra was a remarkable person and always seemed to have a kind word for the people around her - family, friends, and others. She welcomed me into her family from the very beginning, as she did everyone she came in contact with. It may sound over the top, but that's genuinely who she was.

Saundra will be greatly missed.
